About this Pop-Up Experiential Store
Do you truly believe in self-love? Can you fully accept yourself?
Hedonist and Good Vibes invite you to explore your own desires and boundaries with ‘The Origin’ in The Art Space at Siri House. This multi-sensory pop-up installation, a joint collaboration with conceptual artist Slaja Liupa and experience design consultancy Equal Strategy, is designed as an interactive passage of pleasure through a myriad of visuals, sensations, scent and sound.
As a symbol of divine femininity, passion and birth, the Vulva is also shrouded in the shadows of fear, guilt and the unknown. Women’s pleasure is kept in check by society’s constraints by watchful eyes and the “should’s”. By playfully subverting the visual symbol of the Vulva as part of the art installation, visitors are encouraged to reflect on their own relationships with their sensuality, pleasure and inhibitions measured against learned expectations.
The start of the pleasure passage begins with Siri House itself. Nestled amidst the lush greenery of Dempsey Hill, the modern and luxurious feel accentuates the journey of exploration. As they enter the space, visitors are reminded that they’re in a safe and intimate space with the presence of frosted windows to protect their privacy before they enter the main installation. Once inside, the centerpiece of the pop-up is a Self-Love Prism where visitors are invited to interact with the artwork and turn their personal insecurities into positive affirmations of self-acceptance.
The Origin also integrates bespoke fragrances and music by Equal Strategy to transport visitors during the experience through scent and sound, emphasizing the importance of embracing all elements of our senses in pleasure. With a specially crafted Day & Night experience, the moodscape of the space will transition from a warm inviting scent with notes of vanilla, to a glamorous headier fragrance in the evenings to invoke one’s carnal desire. The Night fragrance will also be released as a home reed diffuser available for sale exclusively at the retail section at Siri House.
Visitors can also shop at the pop-up boutique where they can get to know Hedonist and Good Vibes pleasure toy range up close and personal. Pleasure Consultants will be present every Friday and Saturday to guide visitors on how to choose the right toy for their needs and answer any questions they may have about sexual wellness and pleasure in a safe and inclusive environment.
Throughout the span of the pop-up, themed women-only workshops to expand on the exploration of one’s pleasure and community-building will also be conducted on a weekly basis. They will center around pleasure, relationships, sexual health, and self-empowerment for women. Starting from 19th January, these intimate workshops will be held every Wednesday by notable experts and partners.
Through this pop-up experience, Hedonist and Good Vibes aim for visitors to reclaim the feminine power by encouraging playful exploration and personal reflection on the complexity of self-love, sexual wellness, and acceptance.
The Origin will be held in the Art Space at Siri House from 15th January to 31st March 2022, Tuesdays to Sundays from 12 - 10 pm. Pleasure Consultants will be present every Friday 6 - 9pm and Saturday 12 - 9pm. Workshops will be held every Wednesdays.
